Sony WH-1000XM6
A packed metro carriage, strangers pressing in.
The headphones go on and it becomes a forest.
A self-initiated speculative brief for the Sony WH-1000XM6, made as a thirty-second vertical ad entirely through APIs. Sony did not commission it.
The concept replaces the noise of a packed Lisbon metro carriage with a forest. The headphones are the transition between the two places.
Veo 3 generated every scene through the Google AI Studio API and Imagen 4 Ultra made the reference images. The piano that fades in as the metro dissolves is Lyria 3, from a single text prompt, and the voiceover is Noiz. Generation, audio mixing, text overlay and assembly run through a Python pipeline orchestrated by Claude Code.
ContextSelf-initiated work. It was not commissioned by the brand shown.
The ad: 30-second speculative video
Where the concept came from.
Noise-cancelling headphones are sold on the same promise by almost every brand: it is quieter. The benefit had been said many times. What was missing was making someone feel the contrast in the first seconds of a video.
The brief focuses on putting headphones on in a noisy place. The metro sets the tension before the scene turns into a forest.
“Listen to your dreamy thoughts.” The line is about what becomes possible once the noise is gone.
